Harness Repair

If repair is an option, We follow specific protocols to maintain electrical resistance standards: 

• Splicing & Soldering: Damaged sections are cut out and replaced with a new wire section. Staggered splices to prevent a bulky "lump" in the harness.
• Crimping: Using non-insulated butt connectors and specialized crimp tools to ensure a solid mechanical connection.
• Waterproofing: Repairs in moisture-prone areas (like behind a bumper) must use sealant-lined heat shrink tubing to prevent future corrosion.

Replacing a damaged vehicle electrical connector is a common alternative to replacing an entire expensive wiring harness. Most repairs fall into two categories: splicing in a pigtail (a new plug with pre-attached wires) or de-pinning the original connector to swap just the plastic housing.
